I try to eat healthy most of the time but I always find it hard to get in all of my servings of veggies in a day. Adding spinach to a breakfast or post-workout smoothie has become my go-to easy solution! It took me awhile to get the best recipe down, but now that I have it I will never make a green smoothie any other way! I swear this smoothie is so yummy you wouldn’t even know it had spinach in it if it wasn’t green!
I use a magic bullet for my smoothie making because I think the single serving is super convenient and easy clean up! First, I start with a frozen banana, you can use a non-frozen banana too but I find frozen bananas add the cold creamy texture to the smoothie without adding ice! Next, I add about a cup of spinach, a handful of frozen pineapple, and about 1/4 of a medium avocado (adds so much creaminess!). I also top it off with a spoonful of chia seeds, and fill the rest of the bullet cup with Trader Joe’s Vanilla Coconut Milk (it has just the right amount of sweetener to make the smoothie taste delish).
These ingredients make the perfect, just sweet enough, green smoothie to enjoy any time of day! I usually have mine with a small breakfast like a boiled egg, but if you’re drinking it as a meal replacement I recommend adding some protein, my favorite is the Vanilla Pea Protein from Trader Joe’s.
I literally drink this smoothie 5 days a week! I really recommend trying it if you’re looking to add some easy veggies into your diet.
